India's RAW and Israel's Mossad - The Secret Link

http://www.rediff.com/news/2003/sep/08spec.htm

Thirty-five years ago, in September 1968, when the Research and Analysis Wing was founded with Rameshwar Nath Kao at its helm, then prime minister Indira Gandhi asked him to cultivate Israel's Mossad. She believed relations between the two intelligence agencies was necessary to monitor developments that could threaten India and Israel.

The efficient spymaster he was, Kao established a clandestine relationship with Mossad. In the 1950s, New Delhi had permitted Tel Aviv to establish a consulate in Mumbai. But full-fledged diplomatic relations with Israel were discouraged because India supported the Palestinian cause; having an Israeli embassy in New Delhi, various governments believed, would rupture its relations with the Arab world.

This was where the RAW-Mossad liaison came in. Among the threats the two external intelligence agencies identified were the military relationship between Pakistan and China and North Korea, especially after then Pakistan foreign minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto visited Pyongyang in 1971 to establish a military relationship with North Korea.

Again, Israel was worried by reports that Pakistani army officers were training Libyans and Iranians to handle Chinese and North Korean military equipment.

RAW-Mossad relations were a secret till Morarji Desai became prime minister in 1977. RAW officials had alerted him about the Zia-ul Haq regime's plans to acquire nuclear capability. While French assistance to Pakistan for a plutonium reprocessing plant was well known, the uranium enrichment plant at Kahuta was a secret. After the French stopped helping Islamabad under pressure from the Carter administration, Pakistan was determined to keep the Kahuta plant a secret. Islamabad did not want Washington to prevent its commissioning.

RAW agents were shocked when Desai called Zia and told the Pakistani military dictator: 'General, I know what you are up to in Kahuta. RAW has got me all the details.' The prime minister's indiscretion threatened to expose RAW sources.

The unfortunate revelation came about the same time that General Moshe Dayan, hero of the 1967 Arab-Israeli war, was secretly visiting Kathmandu for a meeting with Indian representatives. Islamabad believed Dayan's visit was connected with a joint operation by Indian and Israeli intelligence agencies to end Pakistan's nuclear programme.

Apprehensive about an Indo-Israeli air strike on Kahuta, surface-to-air missiles were mounted around the uranium enrichment plant. These fears grew after the Israeli bombardment of Iraq's Osirak nuclear reactor in 1981.

Zia decided Islamabad needed to reassure Israel that it had nothing to fear from Pakistan's nuclear plans. Intermediaries -- Americans close to Israel -- established the initial contacts between Islamabad and Tel Aviv. Israel was confidant the US would not allow Pakistan's nuclear capability to threaten Israel. That is why Israeli experts do not mention the threat from Pakistan when they refer to the need for pre-emptive strikes against Iraq, Iran and Libya's nuclear schemes.

By the early 1980s, the US had discovered Pakistan's Kahuta project. By then northwest Pakistan was the staging ground for mujahideen attacks against Soviet troops in Afghanistan and Zia no longer feared US objections to his nuclear agenda. But Pakistani concerns over Israel persisted, hence Zia decided to establish a clandestine relationship between Inter-Services Intelligence and Mossad via officers of the two services posted at their embassies in Washington, DC.

The ISI knew Mossad would be interested in information about the Libyan, Syrian, Jordanian and Saudi Arabian military. Pakistani army officers were often posted on deputation in the Arab world -- in these very countries -- and had access to valuable information, which the ISI offered Mossad.

When young Israeli tourists began visiting the Kashmir valley in the early nineties Pakistan suspected they were Israeli army officers in disguise to help Indian security forces with counter-terrorism operations. The ISI propaganda inspired a series of terrorist attacks on the unsuspecting Israeli tourists. One was slain, another kidnapped.

The Kashmiri Muslim Diaspora in the US feared the attacks would alienate the influential Jewish community who, they felt, could lobby the US government and turn it against Kashmiri organisations clamouring for independence. Soon after, presumably caving into pressure, the terrorists released the kidnapped Israeli. During negotiations for his release, Israeli government officials, including senior intelligence operatives, arrived in Delhi.

The ensuing interaction with Indian officials led to India establishing embassy-level relations with Israel in 1992. The decision was taken by a Congress prime minister -- P V Narasimha Rao -- whose government also began pressing the American Jewish lobby for support in getting the US to declare Pakistan a sponsor of terrorism. The lobbying bore some results.

The US State Department put Pakistan on a 'watch-list' for six months in 1993. The Clinton administration 'persuaded' then Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif to dismiss Lieutenant General Javed Nasir, then director general of the ISI. The Americans were livid that the ISI refused to play ball with the CIA who wanted to buy unused Stinger missiles from the Afghan mujahideen, then in power in Kabul.

After she returned to power towards the end of 1993, Benazir Bhutto intensified the ISI's liaison with Mossad. She too began to cultivate the American Jewish lobby. Benazir is said to have a secret meeting in New York with a senior Israeli emissary, who flew to the US during her visit to Washington, DC in 1995 for talks with Clinton.

From his days as Bhutto's director general of military operations, Pervez Musharraf has been a keen advocate of Pakistan establishing diplomatic relations with the state of Israel.

The new defence relationship between India and Israel -- where the Jewish State has become the second-biggest seller of weapons to India, after Russia -- bother Musharraf no end. Like another military dictator before him, the Pakistan president is also wary that the fear of terrorists gaining control over Islamabad's nuclear arsenal could lead to an Israel-led pre-emptive strike against his country.

Musharraf is the first Pakistani leader to speak publicly about diplomatic relations with Israel. His pragmatic corps commanders share his view that India's defence relationship with Israel need to be countered and are unlikely to oppose such a move. But the generals are wary of the backlash from the streets. Recognising Israel and establishing an Israeli embassy in Islamabad would be unacceptable to the increasingly powerful mullahs who see the United States, Israel and India as enemies of Pakistan and Islam.

The Devil Sign - Not Just for Curses Anymore

How did this hand signal, which is historically a vulgar sign in Italy, get to be so mainstream that even the Pope uses it?

I admit to once or twice using the "devil horn" sign when I was a kid.  I grew up a half-breed Catholic educated English/Italian-American on the East Coast, and the southern Italian peasant culture there makes great use of this hand signal to ward off curses.  It's sort of like fighting fire with fire, scaring the devil with another devil.  If you think someone has put a curse on you, you give them a shot of the horns.

I once used it on a couple of dagos who were bullying me in school.  I admit I did not get along with the other Italians there.  My best friend in school was a Cuban with a high IQ named Olga.

The Italian kids I knew in Catholic school were way more entrenched in the culture than I ever was.  Not only could they speak the language, they used Italian sign language to communicate behind the Bostonian Irish nun's back.  I don't think she ever had a clue.  I only know a few things in Italian sign language, which I mainly learned from the humour book "How to Be an Italian" by Lou d'Angelo.  A small sample lesson is below, showing (at 1:36) how the horns are used in Italy as the equivalent of, well, I won't say it here:

The Feast of San Gennaro, patron saint of Naples, is run annually on Mulberry Street in New York City.  For sale at the festival, alongside "Italian Power" neckties, are a plethora of horn objects, otherwise known as "cornos".  These are red devil horns you can hang from your neck or your rear view mirror, depending on the size of the horn and the curse you're trying to ward off.

Let's say one of the local "Guidos" from down the street doesn't like the fact that you're dating his sister, so they pointed the horns at you and promised you'd get diarrhea for a month. If you don't think a medium sized horn will give you enough mojo to ward this off, you can always buy a slightly more blatant hand pendant and point it at "Guido" next time you see him.  Tell him he's going to get syphilis for a year.  This can be fun, especially when directed at chronically superstitious types.

Greeks and Turks have the same beliefs about the "evil eye", which can be interpreted to mean the jealousy or bad intentions of another.  Their "curse reversers" tend to be ceramic or glass depictions of an eye.

The sign of the "horns" has been hijacked for years by popular culture and is seen everywhere.  It has a variety of meanings in heavy metal subcultures, where it is known by a number of terms, including maloik, devil sign, devil horns, goat horns, metal horns, death fist, horns up, slinging metal, metal sign, sticks up, throwing the goat, rocking the goat, sign of the goat, throwing the horns, evil fingers, the horns, forks, metal fist, satan salute and the Jackal.

In this clip from The Soprano's, Tony's squeeze, Gloria, gives the horns (jokingly) to the gorilla at the local zoo.

Ozzy Osbourne's replacement, Ronnie James Dio (at right), is credited with popularizing the "devil's horns" gesture through the band Black Sabbath starting around 1979. Dio says that his Italian grandmother used to make the hand gesture to ward off the evil eye.  However, the signal has been in longer use:  The band Coven used it on all their record albums and on stage as far back as 1968. The Parliament-Funkadelic also used the "horns sign" regularly, as seen in many promo shots, album art work and concerts in the 1970s.

Dio had rejected his Catholic upbringing.  He wasn't warding off the devil, he was promoting it.  After all, the band's name is Black Sabbath.  Jeez...

In the 70's, Italian President Giovanni Leone shocked the country when, visiting Naples during an outbreak of cholera, he shook the hands of the patients with one hand, and with the other behind his back, made the corna.  This was no doubt a superstitious attempt to protect himself from the disease.  However the gesture, which was caught by journalists and photographers, was considered especially offensive for the patients.

These days, the horns have gone mainstream in Italy.   This website (you can get a fairly lousy translation of it at Google Translate) showed Italian president Berlusconi throwing the horns with impunity.  I am certain that Italian death metal fans and others give each other the horns daily, without any thought of a curse being attached.  How did this happen?

Well, basically, it's marketing.  Deliberate and organized marketing.

This sign has been repeated so much in the media that people think it's normal to flash a satanic symbol as a sign of greeting.  And our most visible vectors of mass persuasion, politicians and celebrities, have been doing the promotion.  Most celebrities and other public figures don't sport a certain color necktie or pair of shoes at a public event without an OK from their "image consultant" so don't think this is just an accident.

And now the Pope, the so-called spiritual leader to over a billion Catholics, has been caught in the act.  If anyone should know the origins of this sign, it's him.

How did we get so far gone that the Pope thinks it's OK to flash what is basically an Anti-Christ symbol?  What next for his Papal majesty?  Biting off the heads of doves?

Does Alaska Need a Jewish Museum for the "Frozen Chosen"?

Above - Nudnik of the North transplant Joel Fleischman gets his Christmas on and loses his Jewish identity in Alaska.

Alaska has close to 700,000 population total.  The biggest minority is Native American, at about 15%.  The largest non-native ethnic group is composed of white German-Americans.  Jews number from 3000 to 6000, depending on whom you believe. The estimate of the Muslim population is about the same.

The largest figure, 6000, is less than 1% of Alaskan residents. So why did the state of Alaska see fit to spend over 800K on a Jewish museum?

Oddly, this project started at about the same time Sarah Palin, former Alaska state governor, became known in the media as John McCain's presidential running mate.  Palin has Lithuianian Jewish heritage and is a strong supporter of Israel.  An Israeli flag was often seen in photographs of Palin in the governor's office.

The tv show about life in Alaska, Northern Exposure, has been studied, believe it or not, for its impact on "Jewish Identity".

One article states:  According to the only existing demographic study of Alaskan Jews, done by Brandeis professor Bernard Reisman in 1995, only 6% of the almost 3,000 Jews in Alaska were born in the state. The typical (and not entirely misleading) image of the Alaskan Jew comes from Joel Fleischman, the young Jewish doctor and main character on the television show “Northern Exposure,” who was stationed in the small arctic town of Cicely.

To get an idea of just how Jewish the series Northern Exposure, like most American televsion is, read this excerpt from Over the Top Judaism by Elliot Gertel.

From a review of the 2007 novel, The Yiddish Policeman's Union, by Michael Chabon: "Apparently, Alaska was (fleetingly) proposed as a place where Holocaust survivors might build a new life... In his version, the Arabs defeat the Jews and the bulk of Europe's Jewish survivors establish a Yiddish-speaking sub-country in sections of Alaska they wrest from the indigenous population."

The question remains:  Why are the Zionists so interested in Alaska? The article below indicates that the Jewish population of Alaska is rapidly expanding.

Anchorage - Chicago philanthropist Rabbi Morris Esformes has pledged to sponsor two new historic landmarks: the Alaska Jewish Historical Museum and Community Center, and a separate facility for the synagogue, preschool, and future day school of the Lubavitch Center of Alaska.

The pledge was made during a welcoming reception and dinner for Esformes at the Lubavitch Jewish Center of Alaska, an event led by Lubavitch Center director Rabbi Yosef Greenberg; Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich; State House of Representatives Speaker John Harris; former Anchorage mayor, Rick Mystrom; and renowned founding Alaskan Jewish community members, David and Shani Green.

The Alaska Jewish Museum was conceived several years ago by a group recognizing the need to expose Alaskans to Jewish history, culture and the significant Jewish contribution to the state, to the U.S. and to society as a whole. Efforts began in 2004.

During the last three years, fundraising efforts led by Shani Green and Liz Ashlock have brought together the entire community in the spirit of love and unity and have raised over $750,000. Additionally, the state of Alaska approved a generous $850,000 grant towards the project.

But despite this, the project was under-funded. Enter Chicago philanthropist Rabbi Morris Esformes, known for his generosity towards educational and humanitarian institutions across the globe, and for his support of small Jewish communities around America. "Every child should have the opportunity to receive some form of Jewish education," Esformes says.

Toward this end, Esformes has been involved in establishing Jewish community centers, preschools, Talmud Torahs, Sunday schools and Jewish day schools across America, such as the multifaceted Esformes Jewish Community Center in Daytona Beach that he is building with the local leadership of Rabbi Pinchas and Chani Ezagui. That's why David and Shani Green asked Rabbi Esformes for his assistance.

Esformes responded by visiting Alaska on June 4 with his long-time associate, Rabbi Gerry Rosenberg, and was pleasantly surprised by a welcoming committee of over 70 Camp Gan Israel children at the airport. Esformes then joined a special reception meeting with government and Jewish leaders to receive a report on the success and growth of Anchorage's Jewish presence.

From a few families already present upon their arrival 16 years ago, Rabbi and Mrs. Greenberg today serve over 250 families with day camping, chinuch, regular minyanim and Alaska's only mikvah. The Lubavitch Center also stages the Chanukah Arts Festival, which is attended yearly by Alaska's political leadership and over 1,000 people, and also provides regular adult Torah classes and even Jewish tourism services.

Rabbi Esformes was inspired by the achievements of a vibrant community far from major Jewish population centers. "We must make sure that everyone in the world knows of this," he said, also expressing appreciation for the unity among all Alaskans in the creation of the Alaska Jewish Museum and the bipartisan goodwill of Alaska's elected officials. "This small-town American spirit of love and community should truly serve as a model for all America," said Esformes. "It is a great honor for me to be involved."

Alaska's Jewish history recently received national recognition due to a popular novel imagining a huge Jewish community in Sitka, Alaska. In reality, however, Alaska is home to just 6,000 Jews, who mostly reside in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau and small pockets elsewhere. Nevertheless, Jews have made a large contribution to Alaska, from the early Jewish fur traders of San Francisco who pushed for the purchase of the Russian territory to the first Jewish mayors of Anchorage and Fairbanks and the Jewish gold rush pioneers at the turn of the century.

The Alaska Jewish Museum will also educate America's public on Alaska's little-known connections to Israel, including Alaska Airlines's role in Operation Magic Carpet and young Alaskan sailor Jack Johnson, who served on the ship Exodus during its 1947 smuggling of Holocaust survivors to the Holy Land.

In the same vein, the Lubavitch Center's upcoming annual dinner, to be held in November, will honor the ship's legendary captain, Mr. Yitzchak "Ike" Aharonovitch, who will be visiting Alaska for the event. The following year's dinner, scheduled for November of 2008, will mark the 60th year since Alaska Airlines' critical role in Operation Magic Carpet.

Alaskans and out-of-town visitors alike are looking forward to the completion of the Alaska Jewish Museum and its exhibits, which will bring the community together and serve as a non-sectarian catalyst for exploring the diversity of Alaska's many cultures.

Alaska - Chabad Rabbi: Sarah Palin a Great Friend To The Jewish Community

In this central Alaskan city 10 miles north of a town called North Pole and nearly 400 miles from the nearest rabbi, it now appears that Jewish men will occupy two of the five local seats in the state legislature.

9-11 Dancing Israeli Ornit Suter Was Asked a "Prophetic" Question by the New York Times

A 1998 article in the New York Times mentioned Dancing Israeli Ornit Suter and Urban Moving Systems.  At the time, UMS was located on 50th Street near 10th Avenue in Manhattan.

The article concerns the problem with old buildings in Manhattan falling apart, pelting pedestrians with falling bricks and masonry, in addition to old buildings suddenly collapsing.  People joke about having to wear hard hats and looking up when out walking.

Suter is interviewed:

Ornit Suter, 27, whose business, Urban Moving Systems, on 50th Street near 10th Avenue, moves households and sells packing material for moving, was asked if New Yorkers were buying boxes in uncommon quantities so they could get out of New York before the whole city came down.

''Not really,'' she said. ''I don't think I could say that.''

Maybe it would take a few more flying slabs before the panic took hold?

''I don't know,'' she said. ''People moving from New York? No. People are moving to New York.''

Wish Them a Merry Christmas Anyway

I work under the auspices of a typical PC school district in a large city in the US.  The kids I have to deal with have issues about telling their friends Merry Christmas, as they leave for a 2 week break.  "No! You have to say 'happy holidays'!", I hear them saying, sotto voce.

This is the very same school district that had no qualms whatsoever about taking half a day off and spending tens of thousands of dollars of tax money to bus the entire 5th to 12th grade population to see the Dalai Lama last year.  Some of those kids still wear the souvenir shirts of that event to school.

Imagine the uproar if it had been the Pope!  I knew at least one parent who was upset about this, and I'm sure there were many more.  Did the ACLU step in and challenge this pro-Lamaist use of state funds?  Hell no!  No more than they did to stop Orthodox Jews from stripping the streets of public bicycle paths in Brooklyn.

So I decided to be subversive.  As the kids left, I wished them a Merry Christmas.

It turned out that the more I said it, the more the kids felt it was OK to say to each other.  What they have been told, apparently, is that it's impolite or somehow "offensive" to wish someone Merry Christmas. By saying it to them, repeatedly, I was in essence, telling them it was allright.  They've never been given that message by an adult in their school system.

I lived in Japan for close to a decade.  Japanese celebrate Christmas - not as a religious holiday, but as a seasonal one.  They just happen to like it.  And most Japanese describe themselves as non-religious, or not understanding religion. The Thai have downtown Bangkok dressed up in Christmas decor in December, and most of them are Buddhist.

You cannot offend a Japanese or a Thai by wishing them a Merry Christmas, but for crying out loud, don't ever try that on your local Rebbe.  The next thing you know, you'll get arrested for a hate crime.

Jews have been "offended" by any reference to Christ since about the year 0, when Herod was scouring Bethlehem to kill all male babies under the age of 2 years. You don't see this sense of "offense" in other cultures when it comes to Christmas, or Christmas greetings.  To some Jews, saying Merry Christmas to their face is the equivalent of a sucker punch, unless they're running Macy's, in which case it's good for business.

Not all Jews hate Christmas.  However, for a sizable number, the Christmas season is, well, just "uncomfortable".  Sarah Silverman, with her neurotic anti-Christian diatribes, is just the tip of the 'berg.

I had an Israeli-American roomate in college, who hated everything about Christmas, including seeing kids sitting on Santa's lap in the local mall.  She'd mock them as she walked by, seething with emotions that were a mixture of jealousy and contempt. The coup de grace was a "Christmas" party she had, with one of her boyfriends showing up as the crucified Jesus.  I think she might have been a little pissed that the Jewish psych major she was after was infatuated with a blond shiksa who lived on our floor.

A Jewish Communications major at my university hosted the Christmas show on the school's radio station.  He'd play songs that would mock Jesus (for example, the tune "Jesus is Easy", by another Jew, Martin Mull), and then snicker afterwards as he set up the next selection from the anti-Christ playlist. This university is funded by the state.  This idiot's radio show was run on state funds.  ACLU, where were you then?

It is this type of neurotic hatred has tainted the Christmas season.  In a country where Gentiles outnumber Jews almost 100 to 1, and where Christianity is still the majority faith, how did we allow this simple little phrase of caring to be hijacked and turned into an "offense"?

Christmas has been historically a season of love, of sharing, of caring for your neighbor.  And it needs to be kept that way.  Show your neighbor your love this season.  Wish them a Merry Christmas.  Everyone.

No Sale of Palestine - Is This Another Reason Czar Nicholas II and His Family Were Murdered? (Updated)

Above - A small article from the St. Paul (Minnesota) Globe, November 10, 1902.

The link to this old newspaper page can be found here.

The 1902 article states that a Rabbi Rypins of the Mount Zion Temple, Minnesota synagogue was shown a cablegram stating that France and Russia have blocked the sale of Palestine by the Sultan of Turkey.  Czar Nicholas II was ruler of Russia from 1894 until his abdication in 1917.  He and his family were murdered in 1918.  The Balfour Declaration was hatched in 1917.

The article also goes over statements by Rabbi Rypins of efforts to move Jews out of New York into different sections of the US.  Rabbi Rypins states that he has been instrumental in finding homes for some of them in Minnesota.

He also states that there are Zionists who do not want Palestine as a place of return to a religious center - instead they want it "for the purpose of colonization".

The following clip from this page at The Times. (Richmond, Va.) December 21, 1902 states that the Czar's interests in Palestine have to do with maintaining control of Russian monasteries in the area which are actually forts.  According to Wikipedia, The Russian Orthodox Church is one of the largest owners of property in Israel and the West Bank, and has had a presence there for nearly two centuries.  France and Russia both had extensive property and missions in Palestine and were laying in wait hoping for the demise of the Ottoman Empire.
After the rejected sale in 1902, Russia had a series of anti-Jewish pogroms starting in 1903:

"This pogrom was instrumental in convincing tens of thousands of Russian Jews to leave to the West and eventually to the land of Israel.  As such, it became a rallying point for early Zionists, especially what would become Revisionist Zionism, inspiring early self-defense leagues under leaders like Vladimir Jabotinsky." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kishinev_pogrom

Above clip from The San Francisco Call, June 16, 1903

The Kishinev pogrom took place in Chişinău, then the capital of the Bessarabia province of the Russian Empire. This area was located in the original "Pale of Settlement".

Pavel Aleksandrovich Krushevan, the original publisher of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion (first publication 1903), is credited with being the main catalyst behind the Kishinev pogrom.

Krushevan's Russian-language anti-Semitic newspaper Бессарабец (Bessarabetz, meaning "Bessarabian") insinuated that a local Christian boy was murdered by the Jews.  The murder took place on April 6th, 1903, riots broke out on the same day, according to sources, and lasted three days.

The Kishinev pogrom is noted as a main turning point in Jewish history.  It also captured the attention of the world community and was mentioned in the Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine as an example of the type of human rights abuse which would justify United States involvement in Latin America.

Contemporary with the Kishinev pogrom was the publication of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.  From August 26-September 3, 1903, it appeared in abbreviated form in the Russian language paper  Znamya, a Black Hundreds newspaper owned by Pavel Krushevan, as a serialized set of articles. It appeared again in 1905 as a final chapter (Chapter XII) of a second edition of Velikoe v malom i antikhrist (The Great in the Small & Antichrist), a book by Serge Nilus.  In 1905, Sergei Nilus published the "full" version as an appendix to his book Velikoe v Malom ("The Great in the Small").   In 1917, Nilus, who had already published the Protocols two more times, produced yet another edition, this time attributing them to Theodor Herzl (1860-1904), the founder of modern political Zionism.

Both Czar Alexander I in November 1818 and Napoleon (somewhat earlier) had promoted Palestine as a Jewish colony. More at this link

This pro-Zionist article goes over how Jacob Branfman, a Jew, began spreading "false accusations" about the Jews in Russia in 1858 (maybe they were true?):

At the height of Russification and conscription during the reign of Czar Nicholas I, Jacob Brafmann aspiring for advancement into the Orthodox Theological Seminary, published a series of articles in the Vilna Messenger.

After the death of Nicholas I, Brafmann sent a memorandum to his successor Czar Alexander II in 1858 with false accusations against the Jewish community. Brafmann tried to prove that the executive organ of the Jewish community had formed a 'state within a state.'

Even though Czar Alexander II continued to grant positive rights to the Jewish community, Brafmann's false accusations were published in two volumes he authored in 1869 and 1871 called, Book of the Kahal. The book was instrumental in spreading anti-Judaism in the Russian Empire.

With Brafmann's false accusations in publication, the State Council appointed a special commission of representatives in 1870 that created a ten year study group that focused on the elimination of the fabled power held by the heads of the Jewish community and on the extension of the Pale of Settlement.

As an interesting side note, the Wikipedia article goes over an eviction of nuns from a Russian Orthodox monastery (nuns?)  by the Palestine Authority in the year 2000.  This became an international incident.  It states: Further media attention became focused on the event when it was discovered that one of the nuns was Maria Stephanopoulos the sibling of George Stephanopoulos the former advisor to U.S. President Bill Clinton.

NASA Scam to Reproduce Second Coming of Jesus

Above:  Scaring the locals with Jesus in Sharya, Russia.

Your tax money at work.
Hey, at least they made it look like a Russian crucifix.
This from Dr. Lorraine Day's site:

For over 15 years, NASA has had the ability to reproduce - with lasers and holograms - the Second Coming of Christ  - as most Christians believe He will come.  They have the ability to project the images into the sky in such a way that the whole world will be able to see them.  In addition, they can project the figures of the leaders of the various world religions, and everyone on earth will be able to hear them speak in their own language.

They have already begun to produce similar phenomena in the sky.

Some of the supposed UFOs now seen are deceptively produced this way.

Now, they have projected a cross in the sky over Russia.

Soon, it is probable that a figure of "Mary" will be produced in the sky to tell all the Catholics around the world that they must join with the New World Order and support the people who are planning a One World Government.

Later, their Plan is to project images of Buddha, Krishna, Mohammed, and Jesus Christ, all of whom will "tell" the world that "differences in religion are the cause of all the chaos and violence on planet earth and in order to STOP the chaos and violence - and to ‘please God’ - everyone must join together in a One World Religion."

Then, all the figures will merge into one - which will be the New Age "Christ" - NOT Jesus Christ.

And the deception will be complete.

Everyone will say, " I saw it with my own eyes!"

What they won't tell you up front is that the One World Religion of the New World Order Zionist Jews will be the religion of Freemasonry  that - at the highest levels - worships Lucifer!

When Seeing and Hearing Isn't Believing

By William M. Arkin Special to washingtonpost.com
Monday, Feb. 1, 1999

"Gentlemen! We have called you together to inform you that we are going to overthrow the United States government." So begins a statement being delivered by Gen. Carl W. Steiner, former Commander-in-chief, U.S. Special Operations Command.

At least the voice sounds amazingly like him.

But it is not Steiner. It is the result of voice "morphing" technology developed at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico.

By taking just a 10-minute digital recording of Steiner's voice, scientist George Papcun is able, in near real time, to clone speech patterns and develop an accurate facsimile. Steiner was so impressed, he asked for a copy of the tape.

Steiner was hardly the first or last victim to be spoofed by Papcun's team members. To refine their method, they took various high quality recordings of generals and experimented with creating fake statements. One of the most memorable is Colin Powell stating "I am being treated well by my captors."

"They chose to have him say something he would never otherwise have said," chuckled one of Papcun's colleagues.

A Box of Chocolates is Like War

Most Americans were introduced to the tricks of the digital age in the movie Forrest Gump, when the character played by Tom Hanks appeared to shake hands with President Kennedy.

For Hollywood, it is special effects. For covert operators in the U.S. military and intelligence agencies, it is a weapon of the future.

"Once you can take any kind of information and reduce it into ones and zeros, you can do some pretty interesting things," says Daniel T. Kuehl, chairman of the Information Operations department of the National Defense University in Washington, the military's school for information warfare.

PSYOPS seeks to exploit human vulnerabilities in enemy governments, militaries and populations.

Digital morphing — voice, video, and photo — has come of age, available for use in psychological operations. PSYOPS, as the military calls it, seek to exploit human vulnerabilities in enemy governments, militaries and populations to pursue national and battlefield objectives.

To some, PSYOPS is a backwater military discipline of leaflet dropping and radio propaganda. To a growing group of information war technologists, it is the nexus of fantasy and reality. Being able to manufacture convincing audio or video, they say, might be the difference in a successful military operation or coup.

Allah on the Holodeck

Pentagon planners started to discuss digital morphing after Iraq's invasion of Kuwait in 1990. Covert operators kicked around the idea of creating a computer-faked videotape of Saddam Hussein crying or showing other such manly weaknesses, or in some sexually compromising situation. The nascent plan was for the tapes to be flooded into Iraq and the Arab world.

The tape war never proceeded, killed, participants say, by bureaucratic fights over jurisdiction, skepticism over the technology, and concerns raised by Arab coalition partners.

What if the U.S. projected a holographic image of Allah floating over Baghdad?

But the "strategic" PSYOPS scheming didn't die. What if the U.S. projected a holographic image of Allah floating over Baghdad urging the Iraqi people and Army to rise up against Saddam, a senior Air Force officer asked in 1990?

According to a military physicist given the task of looking into the hologram idea, the feasibility had been established of projecting large, three-dimensional objects that appeared to float in the air.

But doing so over the skies of Iraq? To project such a hologram over Baghdad on the order of several hundred feet, they calculated, would take a mirror more than a mile square in space, as well as huge projectors and power sources.

And besides, investigators came back, what does Allah look like?

The Gulf War hologram story might be dismissed were it not the case that washingtonpost.com has learned that a super secret program was established in 1994 to pursue the very technology for PSYOPS application. The "Holographic Projector" is described in a classified Air Force document as a system to "project information power from space ... for special operations deception missions."

War is Like a Box of Chocolates

Voice-morphing? Fake video? Holographic projection? They sound more like Mission Impossible and Star Trek gimmicks than weapons. Yet for each, there are corresponding and growing research efforts as the technologies improve and offensive information warfare expands.

Whereas early voice morphing required cutting and pasting speech to put letters or words together to make a composite, Papcun's software developed at Los Alamos can far more accurately replicate the way one actually speaks. Eliminated are the robotic intonations.
The irony is that after Papcun finished his speech cloning research, there were no takers in the military. Luckily for him, Hollywood is interested: The promise of creating a virtual Clark Gable is mightier than the sword.

Video and photo manipulation has already raised profound questions of authenticity for the journalistic world. With audio joining the mix, it is not only journalists but also privacy advocates and the conspiracy-minded who will no doubt ponder the worrisome mischief that lurks in the not too distant future.

"We already know that seeing isn't necessarily believing," says Dan Kuehl, "now I guess hearing isn't either."
